Pretty Cheryl

Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Hello Pretty!

Pretty Cheryl! What a beautiful time. You see it! You see it all don’t you. Your life is all love. You remember the good taste of the corn. The pineapples. The songs from the people upstairs singing to you and playing that guitar was all a part of plan. The time was love even though people were not supposed to love each other. You saw it all. Your momma told you to always smile. Your smile saved you. Your smile saved so many. Love is to be shared. You did your part pretty Cheryl. You are not done. Your family is celebrating you! You pretty Cheryl are celebrating life. You learned how to love life, and you taught others how to love. You thought it was hard, but you broke free, and you saw Love within you! Pretty Cheryl! You still writing poetry. This is supposed to be a letter. Lol! Pretty Cheryl. Pretty Girl! Love is you! Love is the world!

I love you,

Pretty Cheryl!

How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?

My apparent failure set me up for success. I grew stronger, and I was able to battle breast cancer. I am strengthened because I believe in me. I am thankful for my gift to love more each day. Much love
