Give Love. Share Love. Speak Love. Teach Love. Be Love.

I am CHERYL!
I am Now.
I am a loving mother of five, an educator, and a POET!
I started this blog during a difficult time. As a DV survivor, I was so confused about my situation, I chose to use my passion for writing poetry as a way to write about love no matter what I faced, so I could feel love everyday. A few years after my situation, I was faced with another life challenge of battling breast cancer. As a survivor, I am so grateful for this opportunity to share my healing process with you. Writing through poetry moves my spirit. I write poetry about love because I’m in love with love.
My poetic style is a spoken word love story. My poems, quotes, and notes are my thoughts of love. Each message offers a unique perspective on looking to love in all situations. “Justice is Love Too.”
My poetic inspiration is attached to my journey to know and to love. I am so grateful to be here to share this love with you.
The following poem gives you a part of my experience of understanding how my life is ever changing:
Love Survived
When you don’t realize what pains you
What drains you
What seems to keep you down
You see the mundane you
The defamed you
The who am I, but tamed you
You break free and find the reigned you
The I am me
You claimed you
No more you say because of the changed you
Your life rearranged you
They you try to find the same you
Stuck in your mid for a minute because
You fear the kind of deranged you
When you finally break through
You see the love within you
The ever so beautiful
Because that change made you
You now know the real you
The ever growing you love you
Give all praise to God
Because he never left you
You stayed true
Much love my friends
I love you
