You Said That?

To the limit

You pushed yourself

Overcome

Overcame

But yet again

With so much fame

It’s still the same

You said it wrong

You did that thing

Now you can’t play

On the field

that court

The arena is so big

you are reaching

The young

Who still buy tickets

But don’t have enough

For the front

What if others know what you meant

But feel

You said it too tall

The uplift is too much

Your mind is too clean

Your money is for educating the young

and fulfilling the ultimate dream

It’s possible but change is not easy

If It takes another

Fifty years

and the young all grown up

they will see all you did to help them and through it all never gave up

Your features come from

Greatness so we know the ones before you held on so

stay up

In order to achieve unity

all people must speak up

The friends who talk to you in secret

On the phone

but never around the crowd

may be twisting your intent and keep this a distraction from love and making hate the sell up. No more. Life is the teacher and love is the come up. The ones that support you are the ones continuing to lift this world up.

Remember,

Speaking love

Is not easy and there will be more slip ups, but your heart is healing people and the blessings won’t stop!

Note:

Overthinking the good thought will hinder your dreams. God gave you the gift of love …use it today! We need you.

Much love ❤️

Cheryl

I Teach

In this journey…

You don’t know what’s at the end of your journey

You feel the journey as you live it

This part of my journey keeps me up at night

Oh, but the other parts did too

I teach

I’m going back to the classroom

I’m going back to the building

My children who

I love dearly will

Go back to the building too

My students are my children

I don’t want anything to happen to any of them

I couldn’t sleep last night

The other night my

Youngest slept in my room

She woke up happy

She said she had a good dream

Not like those other dreams

She asked could she sleep in my room every other night

She asked me if one of us got sick would we have to be locked in our own room

I told her we’d wear a mask

I told her we would spray and disinfect

I ordered more vitamin C, sea moss, black seed oil and ginger tea for the fight

I need to find Lysol

I took the parent survey

I chose for them to go back

They said they’d be fine

I am their mother, and

I have changed my mind

Over and over again

I teach

I’m on the frontline

I’ll be in the classroom

It’s been decided

It’s time

Prayers for me

Pray for all

I already beat breast cancer

My journey

This here is just another part

Much love

I love you

May your comments be helpful not hurtful as we understand how to work within this new plight
